What counts as a document?
Every file extracted from an email counts as one document — each PDF, Word file, image or other attachment. One email with 3 attachments uses 3 documents. The email body itself is not counted as a document.
What is an "email indexed"?
Every email synced into MailDocAI and made searchable counts once — with or without attachments. Connected mailboxes are counted separately: that limit is how many inboxes you can link at the same time.
How is AI Assistant usage measured?
One question you ask the AI Assistant counts as one credit — no matter how long the answer is. Your plan includes a monthly number of questions, and your account shows live usage at any time.
What happens when I reach a limit?
We warn you in your dashboard at 80% usage. At 100%, processing of new items pauses — nothing is lost. You can upgrade instantly, enable Pay-As-You-Go to continue at a per-item rate, or wait for your monthly reset.
Do unused documents roll over?
No. Usage counters reset at the start of each monthly cycle (yearly plans also reset monthly). Your billing page always shows the current cycle and the next reset date.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Plan changes are completed securely through Stripe Checkout from your billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply from your next billing cycle.
